Meet Dr. “Prathi” Mudalapuram

 Dr. “Prathi”  youthful energy and lightheartedness allow her to have a special connection with her patients.

Born and raised in India Dr. Prathi now calls NC her home. Coming from a family of Doctors, as both her Brother and Sister are surgeons, She learned early on of the positive impact of gentle and compassionate care for the patients.

Dr. Prathibha Mudalapuram has been a dentist since 2008, completing her undergraduate dental training (Bachelor of Dental Surgery – BDS) in that year. She obtained a Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in India in 2013. In 2019, she proudly graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, USA. Currently, practices dentistry at Cary Dental Arts.

In addition,  10+ years in the dental field, Dr. Prathi has both clinical and dental research experience. Her clinical experience extends from community clinics and hospital-based dentistry to private practices. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Indian Endodontic Society and a member of the AACA (American Academy of Clear Aligners).

Recently, Dr. Prathi was recognized by International Dental Implant Association (IDIA) for completing complex and sophisticated implant surgeries.

Being an International trained in the field of Endodontics, now she combines her unique skills in the field of Endodontics and dental implants.

Dr. Prathi believes dentistry is a conservative balancing art. She believes she owes it to her patients to stay as up-to-date as possible by attending continuing education and on the latest technology as dentistry is an ever-changing field. With proper education, preventative care, and early diagnosis, patients can be fully educated on how to best treat and preserve their oral health. Whatever your oral concerns may be, Dr. Prathi and her team will provide you with an individualized and effective treatment plan.

When asked about her approach to dentistry, Dr. Prathi stated, “My goal is to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for my patients, resulting in a positive dental experience. I love meeting new patients and spending time to educate them, thus forming a great partnership towards improving oral health.”

 In her free time, Dr. Prathi loves spending time with her friends & family. She often enjoys whipping up new recipes & spending time exploring new cultures with her two children.
